Bond Market

 

A bond market includes all the bonds (debt securities) that are issued and traded or just held. Bond market is a part of a whole financial market.  This market covers all the fixed income securities that are traded on Securities Exchanges and also those that are traded on OTC market

 

The most common securities in bond market are government bonds, corporate bonds and municipal bonds. Bond market attracts not so many attentions as stock market does but it is larger in amount. Very large piece of bond market constitutes government bonds in which large financial institutions are investing.

 

Bonds are fixed income securities and the maturity of every bond may depend on the type of the particular security. Those are main types of bonds
