Financial Market

A financial market is a term widely used to describe virtual place/mechanism that allows meeting the sellers and buyers of the investment and other financial products. In current times buyers and sellers do not meet for real like there was longer time ago when brokers was screaming to each other in one big room like in the movies. Now almost all financial markets are computerized and transactions are completed electronically. NYSE was the last one of major stock exchanges which turned to the electronic trading but now is also almost fully computerized.

Those are the major financial submarkets, but the total number of all the markets is unlimited. Popular is OTC trading which is a centralized market substitute. There are plenty of national, regional and local markets.
