Investment Report

An investment report is a for investors prepared document on purpose to provide useful and objective information that would help to make an investment decision.

Investment report may have many forms and different content. But generally, if investment report is made for stock investment, then it has to have some main parts in it: DCF valuation with target share price, relative valuation where multiples would be calculated including ratios of competitors, forecasts of financial statements, market analysis, country’s economical situation and other data.

Some investment repots are very professional some less but the attitude in such reports can differ very widely. The quality of the report mostly depends on the talent of the person that works on this report and the experience of his in the field (analysis of this sector). Such reports are not easy to prepare and requires a lot of time. A good report for investment may take a month or even more depending on the sector and the scope of the report.
