Asset Performance

Asset performance is a return of an asset over some period. Usually performance is measured on annual basis. But basically performance of any asset depends on its riskiness and the period (most of the stocks and other investments are raising in value during bull market).

That’s why asset performance should be measured over some benchmark. However, it is not easy to choose the most proper benchmark, and for some portfolios benchmark is created of several indices. Read more on investment performance measurement

(2) Asset performance can also be understood as profitability of company’s assets which leads to return on asset (ROA).
